Homework Hotline has made some adjustments to best serve students in their time away from school.
1) Homework Hotline has changed its operating hours. While schools remain closed, students can contact teachers Monday through Thursday between 2-6pm CST/3-7pm EST instead of our normal 4pm-8pm CST/5-9pm EST. After speaking to several districts and students, it became clear that offering assistance earlier in the day was important.
2) Homework Hotline has compiled a list of free resources for parents that are available without a district membership. These can be located here.
3) Homework Hotline has created a place for district resources on our website. Because schools are closed, many students and parents have contacted us to figure out what their school is assigning after unsuccessfully calling their school. Many haven't thought to go to the district website. See which districts have already provided links to their work here, and feel free to share your districts' work with us, so that we can also help your families know where to go if they are struggling to navigate the website.
4) Hotline has worked with ENA, our phone company, to make sure our certified teachers are able to stay safe at home while still serving our K-12 TN at the same phone numbers as always: (615)298-6636 or (901) 416-1234. ENA generously provided its SmartVoice Go app at no cost to Hotline.
