• Although, Smith County Schools are officially closed for the remainder of the school year, the COVID-19 Learning Plan which has been developed to continue to provide learning opportunities for Smith County Students will stay in effect until May 22, 2020.  
  • Academic lessons/assignments will conclude the week of Monday, May 11 through Friday, May 15, 2020.  
  • The last meals will be available at FRS on Monday, May 18, 2020. More information regarding the summer feeding program will be forthcoming.
  • If a student is failing a class and needs to pull up the grade, their teacher has been in contact with them in order to receive make-up work. 
  • TCAP/TNReady Testing will not be required this semester.
  • Lunch balances- Lunch balances roll over each school year, however please take care of any outstanding lunch balances.  You may call 615-735-2321 and speak to the Nutrition Dept. Parents can also pay in person at the SCBOE via cash or check or online at k12payment.com
  • Library books can be dropped off at FRS on Mondays or Thursdays from 9:00 till 12:00
  • To maintain social distancing, a tentative schedule for students to return library books, chrome books, textbooks, and school items and pick up personal items and report cards has been made.  Please see the dates assigned below.

  • Grades 1st and 2nd- Monday, May 18th 11:30-3:00
  • Grades 3rd-4th -Tuesday, May 19th 8:00-11:30
  • Grades 5th-6th- Tuesday, May 19th 11:30-3:00
  • Grades 7th-8th- Wednesday, May 20 8:00-11:30
  • Wednesday, May 20 11:30-3:00 Pickups/dropoffs can be made by appointment only
  • Yearbook pick up-TBA We will update students and parents when we receive yearbooks.
  • Spring Picture Proofs- We have not received spring picture proofs at this time.  We will contact students and parents upon their arrival.  All spring pictures can be ordered online at that time.
  • Graduations- Updates will be forthcoming.
  • 2020-2021 Registration-TBA Updates will be forthcoming.
