Remote Music Assignments for 3rd-5th Grade

Good morning all, I hope these find you safe and home. These optional assignments are here for you to use. They are meant to engage your brain and to help review. Please do not stress them in any way. If I can help, please send me an email with your number and I can call you or leave a message at school and they will relay to me. Please know I am thinking of you and missing you all! Stay safe!!!

Week of May 4-8

This week, let’s review time signature from our notation standards. Remember that the time signature is the two numbers stacked at the beginning of a piece of music. The top number tells you how many you will be counting. The bottom number tells you what to count. We will deal with only time signatures that have a 4 on bottom; that means you will need to count only quarter notes. (There are two sheets with review notes to help you.) Then using your notes, select and copy over the proper rhythms into it’s time signature.
