Network & Technology Support

Kevin Miller graduated from Gordonsville High School in 2004. He went on to graduate from ITT Tech in 2007 to receive a associates degree of applied science in computer networking systems. Kevin has been with us since 2005 and is a tremendous asset to our department.  Kevin helps maintain the computer, network equipment, CCTV systems, and  helps with other day to day operations.

Technology Support Coordinator

Terry Woodard graduated from Smith County High School in 1985. She worked as a waitress for several years. Then she went to work at the Texas Boot Factory from 1980 - 1987. She quit work to stay home and raise her daughter and In 1999 she was hired as Title I assistant at Carthage Elementary School. She then went to the Central Office as technology support coordinator for Smith County in 2000.

Technology Coordinator

Jerry Wilson has been employed as Technology Coordinator by the Smith County Board Of Education since 1993. During that time he has demonstrated outstanding leadership in advancing our school systems technology progress. As Technology Coordinator, he is responsible for all aspects of technology in our classrooms; including technology review and evaluation, technology planning, definition of bid specification, biding and purchasing recommendations to the board, budget preparation and monitoring, purchasing and receipt verification, equipment/software installation and developing and assisting in teacher technology training, coordination of state DOE initiatives and information request and coordination of technology grant/E- Rate applications and accountability. Jerry is a High School Graduate of Smith County. He went to Vanderbilt University to receive his Bachelor of Engineering degree. He majored in Electrical Eng. Before he came to us he worked for IBM for 28 years. We feel very fortunate to have his experience and expertise working for us here at Smith County Board of Education
