Heading out of town for the holidays?  Power down your home before you go!  (We'll be doing our version of this for the school!)  Just by taking a few small actions, you can save a lot of energy and come home to a  lower utility bill!

Here are a few things to try:

  • Turn all thermostats down to 50-55 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Adjust your water heater to 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Unplug small electronics, TVs, power strips, computers, etc.

And of course, don't forget to turn everything back on when you get back!
