Make a Wish has been helping individuals in Smith County for many years. Sixteen young people have been granted a wish from trips to Disney World, trip to Hawaii, and even staring in their own movie.
The principals at all of the schools in Smith County have teamed together for a county wide drive to help raise money to help our young people achieve a dream that they may never get the opportunity to do. Our drive will consist of 3 phases concluding on August 23rd at the Tigers and Owls annual football game.
Phase #1 Online donations by using the QR Code on the flier or go to the link Make a Wish Find Your School on that page find the school you wish to donate for and make an online donation.
Phase #2 Collection in the school. Students can give in their home room each day until August 23rd.
Phase #3 At the game we will have a short presentation, then a Miracle Minute Drive where students from all schools will take collections for a 1 minute through the crowd to help the cause.
We felt this would be a great opportunity where the majority of our county one would be a centralized event, and we could help show the young people of our county how we can come together for a great cause to. With this there are three ways to give and help our young people.
If you know of a deserving individual who has a life threatening or altering disease or ailment, let a school official know so we can nominate them for the program, so we can help all of the students in Smith County have the opportunity to chase their wishes.
