Kyle Adams and Edward Rivera were celebrated at GHS today as they prepare to continue their athletic and academic careers at the next level. These two helped lead the Tigers to 85 wins in 4 years, 4 Regular Season District Championships, 4 District Tournament Championships, 4 Regional Appearances, 1 Region Championship, 3 Sectional Appearances, and 2 State Tournaments.
Kyle Adams was a staple in the pitching rotation at GHS for 4 years where he was twice named District MVP, 3 time All-State, selected to participate on Team Tennessee, holds state record for perfect games in a season, and was a 4 time All-District selection. He has the most career pitching wins with 28, most career strikeouts with 332, and holds the most stolen bases in a season with 38. Kyle will be continuing his career at Carson Newman.
Edward Rivera was a 3 time All-District selection and was twice named to the TBCA All-Region Team. Edward led the team in batting this year with .395 average, 24 RBI, 3 HR, and 25 SB. Edward will be continuing his playing career at Roane State.
