Good afternoon! Your TN Promise eligible students received the email below regarding TN Promise eligible institutions. In light of COVID-19, we will no longer be hosting TN Promise Summer Bridge Programs this year. Instead, tnAchieves will be partnering with community colleges across the state to offer the TN Promise Summer Success Program, which is an opportunity for students to get a head start by enrolling in their college’s version of the College Success/First Year Experience course this summer! Students and parents received information regarding the TN Promise Summer Success Program this morning. The program is completely free to students. The deadline to register is May 8, 2020. Students can click here to register and learn more. Spots are limited and students will be selected on a first come, first served basis. Any student whose meeting was cancelled on or after March 12, 2020 must watch the 37-minute webinar no later than May 15, 2020 to maintain TN Promise scholarship eligibility. Students who missed their assigned meeting on or before March 11, 2020 have the opportunity to reinstate TN Promise eligibility by viewing the webinar by the deadline.

Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you! Amanda

At a community college and eligible four-year institution, students must be enrolled as a full-time student to be TN Promise eligible. At a TCAT, students must be enrolled in a full-time program. At an eligible four-year college or university, students must enroll in and be accepted into an associates degree program at that school. Bachelor degree programs are not TN Promise eligible. Additionally, TN Promise funding may not be last dollar at these institutions. At the eligible four-year institutions, TN Promise students will receive the amount of TN Promise funding that they would have received if they attended a community college. Because the cost of attendance varies by institution, it is important to work closely with admissions and financial aid to ensure you are enrolling in an eligible program. The financial aid office will be able to provide a breakdown of tuition and fees, as well as the amount of any financial aid awards you may be eligible to receive. Please let us know if you have any questions.  Thank you! Amanda Bolden
