Owl Eyes

All students attending school traditionally are invited to attend SCHS on Wednesday, August 5. School buses will not run, and we understand that some students may not have a way to attend on the half day. Buses will resume running as normal on Friday, August 7. Students who have signed up for virtual learning are not required to attend.

Students have been placed into small homeroom classes in order to allow for social distancing.  Students should have received an email from their homeroom teacher. If they have not, students can view their homeroom teacher in Skyward.

The ONLY student entrances on Wednesday, August 5, will be the front entrance and the entrance coming in from the Ag parking lot. Students will not be permitted to enter the building at any other door. Sanitizing stations and masks will be available at each entrance. When students arrive at SCHS, they will go straight to their homeroom class after being screened for a temperature and symptoms.

On Wednesday, students who need a device will be issued a Chromebook. Students who have their own devices are asked to bring them. If students need a device, and parents have the capability, please print and complete the Smith County Schools Technology Agreement, which can be turned into homeroom teachers on Wednesday.

New Students: Registration for new students will be Thursday, August 6, by appointment. Please email Mrs. Olivia Bush at obush@smithcoedu.net or Ms. Kelly Goodman at goodmank@smithcoedu.net to schedule an appointment.

Virtual Learning Students: Virtual learning students in need of a device can come by school on August 6 to pick up a Chromebook.

August Schedule: Please see the calendar below for our staggered schedule as we return to in-person learning. Note that all students are expected to learn daily, attending school twice a week and learning remotely for three days.
