Tonight's volleyball game against Jackson County has been cancelled.

Skyward access is back open for parents to complete online enrollment for returning students. Parents, please log into your Skyward account and complete the enrollment process for any returning students before the school year starts. This must be done from a parent account, not a student account.

The SCHS baseball game against Clay County which was scheduled for today has been postponed. Baseball will play Jackson County at home at 11:00 am. Soccer will play a postponed game against Cannon County at home at 6:00 tonight.

There will be a meet and greet baseball meeting for parents and players on Thursday, October 29 at 6 PM in the gym. This is a chance to meet the new baseball coach. All players and at least 1 parent are expected to attend.

Parent/Teacher conferences by appointment only will be tomorrow from 3:00-4:15. Please email your child's teachers if needed.

Due to COVID-19, they have had to adapt their processes. They are not offering on campus tours at this time, but are working on Virtual Tours.

On Friday, we will run a normal schedule. Everyone who is not in Homecoming will attend their 1st through 7th period classes. At 1:00 students may sign out with a letter from their parents. They will sign out with their 7th Period Teacher. NO one will be signing out in the office. We will NOT be accepting phone calls for students to check out of school on Homecoming Day. Once a student has signed out with their 7th period teacher, they MUST leave campus and not return.
Students who remain at school will remain in their 7th Period class until 2:55. We will NOT be going to the Gym Ceremony or to the Parade. It will be streamed live through Smith County Insider and you will watch from your 7th period classroom.

~Senior formal (tux/drape) pictures will be taken on Sept. 8 & 9.
~Each student has been scheduled a time to get their picture made. Due to CDC guidelines, only 2 students will be photographed at a time.
~It is the student’s responsibility to arrive on time for their scheduled time.
~If you are a virtual student you will need to be present during your scheduled time to ensure that you are included in the 2020-2021 Yearbook.
~A schedule of exact times has been posted on the Senior Grade Level Classroom.

Senior Formal Pictures will be on Tuesday, Sept. 8 & Wednesday, Sept. 9.

All SCHS students should be learning remotely for today and yesterday. All students have assignments in Google classroom. Please be sure to complete your work. If you have questions or issues, email your teacher to help resolve these.

If you receive an absentee phone call today and your child is enrolled in the virtual academy or is remote learning today, please disregard. We are working to resolve some issues with our student management system.

If any parent plans on homeschooling their child this school year, please email Mrs. Olivia Bush at obush@smithcoedu.net to discuss withdrawing your child from SCHS and to ensure the homeschool of your choice is accredited so that if you decide to reenroll your child, they can receive credits from their homeschool work.
