Mr. Smith is originally from Byrdstown Tennessee. He is a graduate of Pickett County High School. Barry has a Bachelor’s of Industrial Arts degree and a Masters in Administrative Supervision. Before coming to us, Barry worked in Pickett County as a girls’ basketball coach for 11 years, as Assistant Principal for 7 years, and Principal for 4 years at the High School. With Smith County, he has served as Special Education Supervisor for 12 years, SCHS Girls Basketball 11 years, and now as our Director of Schools.
